Last weekend, Susan Boyle was just another unknown face in the shadows living alone with her cat - Today, she's a worldwide sensation, as a clip of her singing on the TV show Britain's Got Talent exploded onto the Youtube scene. Not only did Susan Boyle's amazing voice manage to win over the usually cranky American Idol judge Simon Cowell - She touched the hearts of millions everywhere. Susan Boyle To Appear On Oprah!

Get ready, people - Susan Boyle will be appearing on Oprah on Monday, May 11th! She will also be joined by the man who made her a star, the world's favorite pithy Englishman Simon Cowell, who will tell Oprah about his alleged departure from "American Idol."

Oprah's cameras will be following Susan Boyle to her Scotland home for this very special show. Sounds like something that would make a great episode for MTV's Cribs! I'm sure we will learn a lot about Susan that we didn't know before from this cool new episode - it will be really cool to see Susan Boyle take us on a tour of her home!

Susan Boyle first started all of this commotion in April, when she auditioned for the TV show "Britain's Got Talent" with a gut-wrenchingly exquisite rendition of "I Dreamed a Dream," from Les Misérables. Her beautiful singing touched the hearts of everyone, and even left the typically cynical judge of the show, Simon Cowell, wordless and stirred.

Since then, Boyle has become a genuine sensation, with videos of her performance racking up record numbers of views on the Internet. So of course, she decided to get a makeover (which really looks great by the way!). Nevertheless Cowell says that she needs to focus on her next appearance on the show now and not her looks.

Susan Boyle's New Look!

“I am tired now of hearing about the way she looks or the kissing or this or that," Cowell said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. "Get yourself together, sweetheart, for the big one, which is the semifinals. Chose the right song. Focus yourself. Shut your front door and maybe take a holiday and come back as the person you want to be, not the person you think you should be.” Wise and heartfelt words from the usually cranky Simon Cowell - He seems generally concerned about her and hopefully Susan will take his advice as he really does know what he's talking about when it comes to the music business! In fact, it's been reported that Simon will be signing Susan Boyle for a record deal regardless of whether or not she wins the Britain's Got Talent competition! Awesome!

So don't forget to tune in tomorrow (Monday, May 11th) to see what Susan Boyle and Simon Cowell will have to say on Oprah's show! And if you like this original Susan Boyle blog, please link to us to help get the word out!

  1. Susan Always looked great!Susan is fabulous. It's about time the entertainment industry started promoting REAL talent. People are looking for a change. They want something different. Their souls are crying out for the extraordinary not the ordinary. To make it in the entertainment industry today you must meet a certain image and financial criteria, talent is no longer a prerequisite. Today, you not only need money to pay your way in, you also must look a certain way, act a certain way, be a certain age and weight and imitate the actor and singers that make up the fad of the times. In
essence, you must lose your entire identity and allow yourself to portray something that isn’t unique. Few entertainers today are individuals.
What is filmed, written and recorded now will reflect our past, but
what our children learn from it, will represent our future. Using the media as our message tool we, as a race of people, have the ability to make a difference for all the young and impressionable minds. 2. Susan Boyle doesn't fit the sterotypical role of "star". And good for her. She's not an unhandsome woman. But she's got one of the purist voices I have ever heard. I for one will be forever thankful for Susan for what's she's done for the rest of us who don't look like Faith Hil or Celine Dion, or Rhianna, or whoever the latest and greatest are. I'm a fair singer in shower, but I have't the guts to do what Susan did. Her beatuy is in her voice. The rest is just the gift wrapping on the Christmas present.

  3. Susan Boyle has such a pure voice it almost brings tears to your eyes - I have her two songs from Briton's got talent on my favorites and play them both every day and when anyone is over I have them listen to them also - all have great praise for the purity in her voice.....my 3 year old granddaughter listened with awe, too, and that certainly says something. I look forward to any album she does.

  4. I have never been a follower of singers. But when I heard Susan sing on the show it gave me goose bumps, and I told a friend that if she ever came within my area I would go to see her hands down. She has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard and I am 72 years old and have heard a lot of them. Good for you Susan, knock them dead
I also am waiting for her next record.
