As far as what little we know about the upcoming Susan Boyle debut CD, Simon Cowell had this to say: "We're not going to throw out some souvenir album of show tunes which everyone expect[s]. We went through about 350 to 400 songs to choose from. She was blown away by some of the song choices...She's going to surprise a lot of people with this record." Sounds like it'll be really good!

She also discussed the Susan Boyle doll, and gave some teasing hints about her new album, saying that that there will be a few "surprises", but wasn't willing to share too many secrets about it, although we did learn that the record won't be all showtunes.
So, what did you think about this new Susan Boyle interview? Leave a comment and let us know!
Susan Boyle's CD Tops The Charts
Well, it's official - Susan Boyle's CD is the top-selling item on Amazon's bestsellers charts, just a day after being made available for pre-ordering. This isn't exactly surprising, but the fact that her album won't even be released for until November certainly is! The singer's debut album "I Dreamed a Dream" only just became available to people who wish to place an order early in order to ensure that they recieve their CD on the first day of release, and already Susan Boyle fans everywhere are making the singing sensation's new album fly off the shelves. If that's not impressibe enough, Susan Boyle's first album is currently outselling the new Whitney Houston and Beatles records - Put that into perspective!
If you haven't yet, you can click here to Reserve Your Copy Now Through Amazon! For UK residents, you may prefer to pre-order your copy from Play.com.
This is a totally stunning feat for a woman who just a few months ago had never even been heard of outside of Scotland, especially when you keep in mind that the artists she's out-selling in the sales chart are some of the world's most popular music acts!
The singer's album "I Dreamed A Dream" won't be available in stores until November 23, but Amazon has been offering pre-orders to those fans who want to make sure they'll get their hands on a copy on launch day and don't want to fight the crowd's in stores through their online store.
One more interesting tidbit - We've just learned that Susan Boyle's album will feature a cover of Madonna's 1995 hit song "You'll See", as per Susan Boyle's own personal wishes. Apparently she's a huge fan of the music diva and really loves that song.

Susan Boyle On Tour: The O2 Center in Dublin!
It wasn't clear whether or not Susan Boyle would even end up appearing as she has had to skip a few of the "Britain's Got Talent" live concerts because of exhaustion, but she ended up surprising everyone in attendace and gave a great performance of the song that made her a star, "I Dreamed A Dream".
Susan Boyle To Give Cameo Appearance On ABC's Ugly Betty TV Show
News outlets are reporting that Susan Boyle will join the cast of the hit TV series Ugly Betty in a coming episode. While there's nothing set in stone as of this writing, it can at least be confirmed that Susan Boyle was definitely offered the job and is probably considering it.
The Scottish singer and reality TV star turned internet sensation was first contacted by US television bosses a month ago. The executives think that she will be perfect for the show, which follows the life of another hairy-eyebrowed but lovable wannabe in the fashion industry, Betty (played by America Ferrera).
Sources close to the star stated last night that "Susan has been bombarded with offers of work in America, but this is something she is really keen on and we hope to make happen," and that "She will definitely play herself."
Susan Boyle became an overnight star in the US earlier this year after her audition for the ITV1 talent show Britain's Got Talent, the video of which went viral on the internet. She was supposed to take a plane to America on a promotional tour after the finale of the show last month, but the plans were canceled after she suffered from a breakdown that landed her in the hospital.
The singer spent four days in the Priory clinic after coming in second place in the competition and collapsing with exhaustion. Since then she has missed a string of dates on the Britain's Got Talent tour while waiting to start recording her debut album.
It's unclear when the episode would air if Susan Boyle were to accept the Ugly Betty cameo role. Last night, Susan's spokeswoman told reporters that "Susan has many offers on the table. At the moment she is looking forward to recording her album."

Pebbles To Visit Susan Boyle In Hospital
Anyway, we've just gotten wind of the fact that Susan Boyle's cat Pebbles will be paying a visit to Susan in the hospital very soon to help lift her spirits and provide her with some comfort during this difficult time. I think this is an excellent idea for Susan to start feeling better - it should be a great help for her to have a loving friend like Pebbles at her side while she recovers from her recent health problems. Thank you Pebbles for being there for your lovely owner when she needs you! Please take good care of her!

Susan Boyle On Britain's Got Talent Semi-Finals: Video
This time Susan Boyle sang the song "Memory" from the Broadway musical Cats (perhaps as an ode to her cat, Pebbles?). After getting off to a shaky start, Susan soon pulled it together and came through with a powerful performance that wowed both the audience and judges once again. Expectations were high, and for the most part it seems Boyle delivered. If Susan makes it through this round of voting, she will go on to the finals of the competition where she will have to prove herself once again.
Although reviews are mixed, Susan Boyle definitely gave it her all and put all her heart into it. What did you think of her perfomance? Did you love it, hate it, or think it was just OK? Do you think she'll make it to the finals or even win the whole thing? Leave a comment and let the world know!
Here's hoping that Susan Boyle advances to the Finals and gets the chance to treat us all to her vocal talents once more. What song would you like her to sing? Leave a comment and I'll try to see if I can't pass it along to Susan.
The new Youtube video of Susan Boyle singing on the show has already become a smashing success, receiving over 300,000 views in less than 24 hours (and counting). Regardless of what you think of her latest performance, one thing's for certain - Susan Boyle is here to stay!

Susan Boyle To Appear On Oprah!
Oprah's cameras will be following Susan Boyle to her Scotland home for this very special show. Sounds like something that would make a great episode for MTV's Cribs! I'm sure we will learn a lot about Susan that we didn't know before from this cool new episode - it will be really cool to see Susan Boyle take us on a tour of her home!
Susan Boyle first started all of this commotion in April, when she auditioned for the TV show "Britain's Got Talent" with a gut-wrenchingly exquisite rendition of "I Dreamed a Dream," from Les Misérables. Her beautiful singing touched the hearts of everyone, and even left the typically cynical judge of the show, Simon Cowell, wordless and stirred.
Since then, Boyle has become a genuine sensation, with videos of her performance racking up record numbers of views on the Internet. So of course, she decided to get a makeover (which really looks great by the way!). Nevertheless Cowell says that she needs to focus on her next appearance on the show now and not her looks.
“I am tired now of hearing about the way she looks or the kissing or this or that," Cowell said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. "Get yourself together, sweetheart, for the big one, which is the semifinals. Chose the right song. Focus yourself. Shut your front door and maybe take a holiday and come back as the person you want to be, not the person you think you should be.” Wise and heartfelt words from the usually cranky Simon Cowell - He seems generally concerned about her and hopefully Susan will take his advice as he really does know what he's talking about when it comes to the music business! In fact, it's been reported that Simon will be signing Susan Boyle for a record deal regardless of whether or not she wins the Britain's Got Talent competition! Awesome!
So don't forget to tune in tomorrow (Monday, May 11th) to see what Susan Boyle and Simon Cowell will have to say on Oprah's show! And if you like this original Susan Boyle blog, please link to us to help get the word out!

New Susan Boyle Video Surfaces
Susan Boyle Singing "The Way We Were" at a pub in 1984
Wow! With a voice like hers it's surprising that Susan wasn't discovered earlier.
The video was taken at a local singing competition (it's been reported elsewhere that Susan Boyle didn't win). She was just 22 at the time in the video, just released by Scotland's Daily Record newspaper. Boyle is featured prominently, singing Barbra Streisand's "The Way We Were."
"I can consider that she was a shy young girl, but also very attractive back then – she turned a few heads when she came into the casino," a school caretaker named Gerry McGuinness told the Daily Record of Susan Boyle's appearance, a complete decade before she started taking professional singing lessons.
McGuinness said that he was in the audience during the performance and decided to dig up an old video after seeing Boyle on her singing on "Britain's Got Talent", the show which made her an overnight international star. He said he was very happy about the fact that she is now receiving the attention she deserves for her amazing talent. I wholeheartedly agree...

The First Picture of Susan Boyle's Cat, Pebbles?
Until now!
That's right folks - I have spent hours scouring the internet and strongly believe that I may have just found the very first picture of Susan Boyle's cat, Pebbles! Of course, I could just keep this awesome find to myself or sell it to the paparazzi for millions of dollars, but it's my life's purpose to share with you everything I can about Susan Boyle to all the millions of loyal fans out there reading my Official Susan Boyle Blog.
So without further adieu, here is what I believe is a GENUINE, un-doctored picture of Pebbles:
From this picture it's clear to see why Pebbles is so special to Susan. She's a really pretty cat with beautiful fur and an excellent personality no doubt! Probably very sweet and enthusiastic just like Susan Boyle herself!

Will Susan Boyle Win The Britain's Got Talent Competition?
In my honest opinion, I think that Susan Boyle is simply going to steamroll her way to winning the Britain's Got Talent competition. Does anyone really think that anyone else will have a chance? The amazing response from the Britain's Got Talent audience, the UK, Youtube, the internet, and later the rest of the world will be incredibly hard to match. Someone would have to be extremely lucky to get the level of Publicity that Susan has gotten. It's likely that Susan Boyle will win the competition on momentum alone.
Why?
Because of the underdog effect. People love a story about the unlikely Cinderella who succeeds against all odds. You need only look back to what happened last year when the lowly Tampa Bay Rays went from worst to first and managed to win the pennant against much bigger, higher paid teams. It creates a feel-good experience that shows us that we can in fact beat the odds and acheive our dreams, and people in general really connect to that. We can all relate to someone like Susan Boyle as she isn't the type of person we usually see on TV and in magazines. She's like us - a normal person, albeit with an extraordinary talent.
Even if Susan Boyle doesn't manage to come out on top of the Britain's Got Talent competition, she will surely be pursued for recording contracts and will likely go on to be incredibly successful for years to come. But it's even more likely that yes, she will in fact win the whole thing.

Underdog Susan Boyle Shoots To WorldWide Fame Thanks To TV's Britains Got Talent
It was not an uncommon early morning day for me when I peered into my email inbox last week. But a YouTube video that was sent to me that day was something different and provided an unusual experience; It caused my eyes to tear up, and throw up my arms shouting a cheerful battle cry for the underdog.
Susan Boyle, an ordinary-looking Scottish vocalist impressed not only the judges of the TV show Britain's Got Talent, but tens of millions of YouTube listeners as well. When you watch this 47-year-old who has never being kissed (remember the Drew Barrymore film of the same name? Not quite like that), it arouses an amazing sensation of pride and the feeling that you can indeed do anything you put your mind to. It turns out there was no need to feel sorry for the old lady who looks like she is about to embarrass herself in front of everyone. You thought there would be judging from the crowd who started laughing at her before she even began to sing, and then this Blackburn native opens her lips. The crowd's expectations were wrong - She was an amazing singer all along. It's a magical sound -- "I Dreamed a Dream" from the musical Les Miserables -- and stirs inspiration. And suddenly the laughter transforms into rooting for the underdog, the realization that one is witnessing an authentic Cinderella scoop. So why the huge response to something like this? We've heard amazing singers before, but this gut-wrenching rejoinder is different. She's the David among the Goliaths, the Rocky of American Idol - she's the epitome of a great comeback narrative. The experience is truly heartwarming.
This reaction, called the underdog effect, is distinct as people's inclination to cheer on someone who is attempting to accomplish something so demanding that it's not likely that they will succeed against the odds. We can all share in this experience, regardless of what our own lives or background. Why? Because we've all felt small and helpless sometime in our lives. Americans in particular love a good underdog story, as witnessed by the great response last year from Mickey Rourke's heartbreaking comeback to the silver screen. And when he didn't walk away with the Best Actor Academy Award, the cries of outrage were simply deafening.
Some studies state that this emotional stimulation is only superficial, but think about it - it's permanently ingrained into our individual tastes. Many of the admired movies and stories and Youtube videos have this as an universal thread in common with each other. All you have to do is look at a children's fairytale - Most of the pitiable princesses are almost always lacking something. They're deficient in some way, whether it's a mother, a pair of legs, or a flight of stairs to walk down from a tall tower. All these stories provide a universal emotion of struggling and then overcoming it. This completely applies to what happened with Susan Boyle by appearing on Britain's Got Talent.
As we grow, considering the impossible is pushed to the back of our day-to-day lives. Yes, we should all try to set realistic goals that we can achieve, but dreaming adds a special dimension to our lives; a teenager-like energy and swagger that we, as adults, sometimes lack. This is what Susan Boyle exemplified on Youtube, and what opened our hearts to her. The difficulties of everyday life these days might be the norm for us for the time-being, so let's keep on dreaming and rooting for those Cinderellas like Susan Boyle along the road of life.

Does Susan Boyle Wear Color Contact Lenses?!
It's the question that everyone in the world is asking - "Does Susan Boyle wear color contact lenses?" It seems that no one can get a straight answer from Susan. As the owner of the Official Susan Boyle Fan Blog, I feel that it's my duty to get the skinny on this incredibly hot news story. So I did a little digging to uncover the answer to this burning question.
But first, I must tell you how funny it is that this story about whether Susan Boyle wears color contacts has become such an overwhelming sensation, and that I'm the person covering it. Everyone who knows me knows that I am a color contact lens freak. I can't get enough of them. I wear color contacts all day, everyday, and you never know what color eyes I will have the next time you see me. I literally have a collection of over 200 color contact lenses. I also happen to be the world's biggest fan of Susan Boyle. And now I get to combine my life's two greatest passions into one blog. Ironic, isn't it? (By the way, make sure you check out my awesome color contacts blog. It literally kicks ass.).
Now let me get to the point. I have spent countless hours trying to find the answer to the worldwide confusion over whether or not Susan Boyle wears color contacts. I have spoken to all of my most trusted sources (who shall remain nameless) and they were as perplexed as me. No one knew the answer. Apparently investigative journalism isn't always easy. It turns out that not even the President of The United States, Barack Obama, could figure this one out. Susan Boyle has denied all requests of reporters to answer this question. She has been extremely secretive about this, which is why everyone is now pulling their hair out trying to figure it out.
But luckily I had an advantage. I called Susan Boyle and got her to tell me whether or not she wears any type of cosmetic lenses, colored or otherwise. I can not tell you how I managed to get this answer, but I did. What Susan said will shock and astound you:
She said she doesn't wear color contacts.
The answer was truly disapointing to me as a extreme fan of both Susan Boyle and cosmetic lenses, but at least now we can all sleep at night as the mystery has been solved.
Susan Boyle Offered A Million Dollars To Star In An Adult Film
Yep, that's right - In the nastiest gossip I’ve ever heard in my life, homely British singer phenomenon Susan Boyle has been presented $1 million to make a porno movie in which she loses her virginity on film. Horrible!
After rising to worldwide fame as a Britain's Got Talent star, this adult film deal would require Susan Boyle to lose her virginity on camera to even earn the huge paycheck from Los Angeles-based Kick Ass Films. Boyle, who says she's never even been kissed, has taken the world by storm since she appeared on the American Idol-esque TV show "Britain's Got Talent."
"We want to get this movie shot and out while Susan has the world's attention," said Kick Ass boss Mark Kulkis. "Besides, after 47 years of virginity, I'm sure Susan is also anxious to get something cracking as soon as possible."
“The logical extension of that statement is that she’s still a virgin. We have always wanted to produce a movie in which a bona fide virgin loses her maidenhood on camera. That’s a very personal, intimate moment in a woman’s life. Doing it in front of bright lights and cameras in a San Fernando Valley studio will make it that much more special.”
“We want real sexual chemistry. Since we have no way of knowing what Susan’s ‘type’ is, we’ll introduce her to a variety of gentlemen of different races, ages and um, ‘endowments.’ Personally, I think she and Ron Jeremy would be a perfect match.”
If Boyle accepts the invitation to appear in this adult film, the porno company responsible for producing it will fly her out to Hollywood on - Yep, you guessed it - Virgin Airlines. Oh, the irony. Luckily, fans of Susan Boyle will be allowed to play a role in the naming of the movie. It's uncertain at this time who will costar with Susan.
OK, I understand that this is what the porno companies like to do nowadays, but is this really necessary? Susan Boyle is such a nice lady already with an amazing singing talent and shouldn't have to resort to making adult films - Someone please give her a record deal!
